Fifties Vintage Bark Cloth Handbag Purse, Mid Century Modern Shoulder Bag

When we bought this vintage bark cloth a while ago at a flea market we were told it was created exclusively for the home of Arthur Godfrey, a well known television and radio entertainer in the 1940’s and 50’s, and that he decided not to use it. Whether its true or not we do not know. We do know that the green and orange modern abstract design is definitely cool. This baguette style bag is lined with a water repellent lightweight canvas and features one interior pocket.
